Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website, making a reservation, or renting a vehicle from Coin Rental ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), you ("Customer," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations.

These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Coin Rental. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.

2. Rental Requirements

Age Requirements

• Minimum age: 21 years old
• Drivers aged 21-24 are subject to young driver fees
• Some vehicle categories require drivers to be 25 or older
• Maximum age: 80 years old

Documentation Required

• Valid driver's license (held for minimum 1 year)
• Government-issued photo identification
• Major credit card in the renter's name
• International Driving Permit (for foreign licenses)

Credit Requirements

• Valid credit card with sufficient available credit for deposit
• We may perform credit checks at our discretion
• Debit cards accepted for payment but not for deposit
• Prepaid cards and cash are not accepted

3. Rental Agreement

Reservation and Confirmation

A reservation does not guarantee a specific vehicle model, only a vehicle category. We will provide a comparable vehicle if your reserved category is unavailable.

Rental Period

• Rental begins when you take possession of the vehicle
• Rental ends when you return the vehicle to our designated location
• Late returns are subject to additional charges
• Grace period: 29 minutes after scheduled return time

Vehicle Condition

• Inspect the vehicle before departure and report any damage
• You are responsible for the vehicle's condition during rental
• Return the vehicle in the same condition as received
• Normal wear and tear is acceptable

4. Vehicle Use and Restrictions

Authorized Use

The vehicle may only be used for legal purposes and by authorized drivers listed on the rental agreement.

Prohibited Uses

• Racing, rallying, or speed testing
• Pushing or towing another vehicle
• Carrying passengers for hire
• Transporting illegal substances or contraband
• Off-road driving or on unpaved roads
• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs

Geographic Restrictions

• Travel within the United States is permitted
• Travel to Canada requires prior approval
• Travel to Mexico is prohibited
• Additional restrictions may apply to certain vehicle types

Additional Drivers

All drivers must be authorized on the rental agreement, meet our requirements, and pay applicable fees.

5. Payments and Fees

Rental Charges

• Daily rental rate as quoted at time of reservation
• All applicable taxes and fees
• Additional services and equipment
• Fuel charges (if applicable)

Security Deposit

A security deposit will be authorized on your credit card:

• Economy cars: $200
• Mid-size and SUVs: $300
• Luxury vehicles: $500
• Released within 3-5 business days after return

Additional Fees

• Young driver fee: $25/day (ages 21-24)
• Additional driver fee: $10/day per driver
• Late return fee: $50 plus additional day rate
• Fuel service charge: Current market rate plus $15 service fee
• Cleaning fee: $75-$150 (if excessive cleaning required)

6. Insurance and Liability

Included Coverage

• Third-party liability insurance (state minimum requirements)
• 24/7 roadside assistance
• Emergency contact support

Optional Coverage

• Collision Damage Waiver (CDW): Reduces your financial responsibility for vehicle damage
• Personal Accident Insurance: Covers medical expenses for you and passengers
• Personal Effects Coverage: Protects personal belongings in the vehicle
• Supplemental Liability Insurance: Additional liability protection

Your Responsibility

You are responsible for:

• All damage to the vehicle during the rental period
• Loss or theft of the vehicle
• Traffic violations and fines
• Towing and impound fees

7. Damage and Loss

Reporting Requirements

• Report all accidents immediately to police and Coin Rental
• Do not admit fault or liability
• Obtain police report and incident documentation
• Contact our emergency line: 1-888-958-9630

Vehicle Theft

In case of theft:

• Report to police immediately
• Notify Coin Rental within 24 hours
• Provide police report number
• You remain liable until police report is filed

Damage Assessment

• We will assess damage costs based on actual repair estimates
• Administrative fees may apply
• Loss of use charges during repair period
• Diminished value claims for significant damage

8. Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellation Policy

• Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup
• Cancellations within 24 hours: $50 fee
• No-show rentals: Full day charge plus fees
• Modifications subject to availability and rate changes

Refund Processing

• Refunds processed within 5-7 business days
• Refunds issued to original payment method
• Partial refunds for early returns at our discretion
• No refunds for unused optional services

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• Our liability is limited to the direct damages you incur
• We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages
• Maximum liability shall not exceed the total rental charges
• We are not responsible for delays, mechanical failures, or breakdowns

10. Dispute Resolution

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New York State, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Arbitration

Any disputes arising from these terms or your rental will be resolved through binding arbitration, except for:

• Small claims court matters
• Injunctive relief requests
• Intellectual property disputes

Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits.

11. General Provisions

Entire Agreement

These terms, along with the rental agreement and any additional policies, constitute the entire agreement between you and Coin Rental.

Modifications

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.

Severability

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Assignment

You may not assign your rights under this agreement. We may assign our rights without notice.
